Internship Opportunities

Georgia's newest and cleanest utility, Georgia Solar Utilities, Inc. (GaSU), seeks to recruit

college students as interns who are interested in furthering the growth of solar energy use

throughout the state.  Ideal candidates will be those interested in public policy, the inner

workings of the Georgia General Assembly, environmental policy, public relations, marketing,

and even business. Those interested should be highly motivated in nature and have the drive to

grow the business and be a part of team. These interns will be the “face” of the company and

will have responsibilities to promote the company with investor relations, table events, start

organizations on various campuses friendly to our cause, project development, community

development, PR, writing articles, press releases, etc. Those selected will have the opportunity

to work from our main office near the State Capitol Building and help support additional offices

across the State of Georgia. 

 

Potential Duties:

Be available for at least 10-15 hours of work a week, and when in the office, must express the

utmost professionalism, both in appearance and in actions.

 

Organize clubs and registered student organizations on college campuses statewide, with the

intent of promoting, tabling, and energizing the grassroots effort of Georgia Solar Utilities.

 

Create understanding and positive image of the company by building relationships with, and

providing information to, the financial community, media, government, and the public; building

credibility with shareholders; building employee commitment to the company communities.

 

Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional

publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

 

Contribute to corporate effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
